I was brought on as a motion designer for the Harris Walz Presidential Campaign during the final stretch of the race. Working under the creative direction of Laura Porat, I received a crash course in how a national political campaign, made up of countless moving parts, actually functions and where my role fit within it.
This was an environment where self direction was not just encouraged but expected. I was responsible for taking scripts or sound bites, pitching visual directions using the campaign’s style guide as a roadmap, and then executing quickly and decisively. Speed, clarity, and judgment mattered.
My work was featured on Kamala Harris’s and Tim Walz’s personal Instagram accounts and also appeared as animated backdrops for speeches and public appearances in key battleground states. I also collaborated closely with the media team to produce highly targeted ads, creating visuals designed to capture attention, evoke emotion, and speak directly to voters who were still on the fence.
It was a high pressure environment that I thrived in and the most meaningful work I have done to date. Nothing motivates me more than using my skills and experience in service of causes I genuinely care about.
